The results are out and I won the silver award! Thank you everyone for voting for me at the Expats Blog Awards 2013. My contest entry Top Ten Expat Experiences in Singapore garnered a total of 98 votes which were just 06 short of the winning entry . It was a nail biting finish and I am so thrilled to have made it this far. I am now a proud recipient of the shiny silver award . This was my first ever entry for an expat blog contest and the overall experience has been so humbling. I was and still am a bit overwhelmed by the number of people who voted for me. Thanks to you, my blog is now ranked under the best expat blogs of Singapore. Yaay !
For all those of you who are joining in recently, Expats blog conducted a writing contest to determine the best blogs for every country. I was invited to participate for Singapore and write about my expat experiences. I nearly missed the deadline for submission due to work commitments! Phew! I stayed awake till 2 am the night before and finished writing my article . So glad I did, for now I can proudly display my shiny new award. Please give me minute or so as I do a little happy dance :)
I really want to thank all those people who made this possible. My family, friends, fellow bloggers and colleagues who pitched in to vote , here is a big hug for you !
And for these awesome bloggers who voted , you are the best :)

Comment - Dearest Pallavi, So far it has been an added bonus for running into Pallavi. The only thing that I don't like about her is that she writes so REAL, that it is hard at times for not being able to be back in Singapore myself. She would make an excellent spokesperson for tourism, be it culinary, shopping or landscape oriented. Hugs, Mariette
