My Week in Instagram Pictures

One of my favorite social media sites is Instagram. I love taking photographs with my phone, editing them with colorful photo filters and sharing them. Just like this blog, many of my friends on Instagram are people I haven't even met but through their vivid pictures I get to experience their side of the earth.  A sunset in Laos, cherry blossoms in Japan and snowfall in Siberia are just some of the images I have seen these past few months. I love getting lost in pictures and being virtually whisked away to another world. 

 

Every picture  tells a story. Here is my story in a week's worth of  Instagram pictures (all taken in Singapore with my IPhone) .

 

This evening, my friend and I took Juliet (my dog ) for a walk around her house and we chanced upon these vivid reflections . I love how the green foliage covers the entire area and gives it a feel of a tropical rainforest.  The tiny pebbles, the wooden handrails on the side and the lanterns in the distance complete the experience of a tropical paradise. 

 

 

We went for a team lunch from work to Din Tai Fung which is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in Singapore. They specialize in hand crafted steamed dumplings  and the ones you see above are just one of the many mouth watering delicacies. These prawn dumplings are succulent and have soup at the base . Every bite you take is like an explosion of sorts.. a delicious one at that! I wish I could have some right now!

 

 

Over the weekend, it was raining when I saw sunlight filter through the window and engulf our living room. 'Rainbow"! I shouted as I sprinted up to the terrace hoping in my hearts of hearts that i  would be able to witness one. Guess what? I did and not just one rainbow, but a splendid  double rainbow! (The other rainbow is very faint in the picture above but it looked really beautiful). This was the second time I saw a double rainbow in my life. The first one being in Auckland two years back. I was so pleased that I couldn't stop smiling :)

 

 

 

I am traveling in January to the middle east and since I have no proper winter jackets, I decided to shop for one! The sales are on in Singapore and what better reason do I need to shop! Lol. Here, I was trying some jackets at Espirit and I really liked this one. Alas , it was way too furry and warm for the middle east and it looked more perfect for a Nordic Christmas.

 

 

  

Every year, we have a traditional gift exchange called the secret Santa. Each of us have to pick one name and surprise that person with a gift (cap of $20) on Christmas . This time around, my secret Santa gave me gifts that I absolutely loved! Lotions from Crabtree and Evelyn that smell like  spa in a box. Amazing! :)

 



 I went out with my good friend and colleague for lunch at Rocky masters. While I usually order the Cajun chicken, I decided it was time for a sinful change! So, a rich and cheesy chicken lasagna it was! Cooked to perfection, the lasagna was  flavorsome and delightful in the true sense of the word.  Please don't ask me how I managed to work after eating this .. Haha.

 

 

 

These two are the apples of my eye. My Two dogs are called Romeo and Juliet :) Juliet is the Siberian husky who greets me with a hug every day after I come back home from Work. Romeo, my beagle loves to photo bomb me in the car incase I try and take a selfie! Haha. I love them sooo much!
