A few weeks back, the sprawling greens of the east coast park transformed into an idyllic venue for our outdoor photoshoot in Singapore. This was our first shoot after our son's birth and we were excited to create beautiful memories that resonated our love for him and our bond as a family. Along with our photographer, the talented Charu from
Charu Shah Photography, we set out in the great outdoors for a day filled with love, laughter and incredible experiences. These moments captured on film would soon be memories that we would look upon and cherish for years to come.

My world |
Taking a photograph maybe easy, but capturing genuine and candid emotions is hard, really hard. When I look back at these pictures, I cant help but be overwhelmed by a surge of happiness. This is my little world, captured in its most natural and pristine state, surrounded by laughter, infused by love and exuding joy. This flair for capturing candid emotions comes so effortlessly to Charu. All along , she never forced us to pose and spontaneously went with the flow, creating these bouts of happy memories for us.
The bond that we have is very special to us and so is the father-son bond shared by these handsome men in my life. My husband and I love talking to our son and now that he is older, he responds in the most adorable way possible. Here, hubby was talking to him and the happiness on his face is so precious! :)

Muah! |
I love kissing my little one. I know that one day when he grows up, he would be mortified to be kissed by his mommy! But, until then I will smoother him with kissies and hugs! You don't have a choice son! :)

There's this boy who stole my heart . He calls me Mom |
They say that a love a mother feels for her child is the strongest emotion on earth. This love is pure, its unconditional and its very powerful. I never knew how strong love could be until I gave birth to this little guy. I love my parents , my siblings and my husband but the love I feel for him crosses every possible boundary. I may hold him today but he will forever hold my heart. This picture showcases this emotion and I hope my son will always remembers how much his mom loved him.
As the shoot progressed , it became hot and as we neared his naptime, little one started getting cranky. Charu being a mom herself was very understanding and asked us if we wanted to continue the shoot at home some other day. Our son was on the verge on bawling and we decided moving the shoot was a good idea. Most photographers are very strict with timings, however Charu was so emphatic and voluntarity decided to extend the shoot on her own accord . She was incredibly accommodating and helpful and I cant recommend her enough!

Love these little feet |
A couple of days later, Charu came home to finish the remaining part of our shoot. The home environment was very conducive and the little one was at ease welcoming her with a big smile . As he lay on his rocker in his trademark pose of one foot over the other , Charu quickly captured it. I absolutely love this photograph of our little one as its so him! He loves to rock himself and put his feet in this position . I find it so adorable :)

That's pretty much us! |
As we have two dogs who are as much a part of the family as everyone else, we wanted them to be included in the shoot. Though the idea was great, getting them in the frame with us was more difficult than we thought. After running after them and bribing them with treats, we managed to get them in a couple of pictures. I absolutely love how genuine these photographs look. Here's our husky Juliet wriggling to get out of hubby's lap as he held on to her for dear life! I on the other hand burst out in a fit of laughter while our son was least bothered by the commotion. Who cares about photography when you have a delicious thumb to chew on, right! :)

With our furbabies |
We finally managed to get both the furbabies in one frame but by then our little one had almost dozed off. We couldn't get all the babies in one picture but the entire commotion trying to get them in was hilarious! I love the way our beagle, Romeo is looking straight at the camera. He is such a poser and loves to give his 'serious' look to the camera!

Petting Julie = pulling her hair |
As a family with dogs, we encourage interaction between our babies. Our son loves petting them as much as they love sniffing him !Here, he was trying to pet Julie and ended up pulling her ear! Poor Julie ! Despite the pulling and the yanking of her fur, she adores our little one! Nothing like a dog's unconditional love .

Us <3 |
We ended the shoot with a picture of us against the natural light in our living room. I love being married to this handsome man and cant believe its been 8 years since we first met.
The shoot went off really well and I couldn't be happier with the results. Charu, is truly an artist and thanks to her, we have a ton of beautiful memories! Throughout the shoot, she was friendly, warm and accommodating and guided us in the best possible way to get these lovely images. She loves working with natural light and creating whimsical moments that you and your family will always cherish. I know we will :)
Thanks Charu for these splendid memories.
