After walking around Labrador Nature Reserve , we continued our tryst with nature and found ourselves at the Tamarind Hill. Located amid lush greenery and housed in a colonial bungalow, Tamarind hill serves traditional Siamese cuisine. Since,we weren't really hungry we decided to explore the tranquil surroundings before getting back home.
Large water pots at Tamarind Hill, Singapore |
As we walked up the stairs, we were enamored by the plush vegetation surrounding the estate. In synch with the forested nature reserve, the dense greenery added to the opulence as large water pots gave a rustic feel .

Tropical plants |
Walking around, I felt like I was in the midst of a forest. Its hard to believe that this is actually the estate surrounding a restaurant! There was a calmness and serenity that oozed out of the entire area. I could sit here and immerse myself in a book and watch the world go by.
The Vibrant Walkway |
While walking up the stairs of the restaurant, we came across giant red conical stands. Decorated with little lights, the walkway lights up during the night. Imagine walking here with a loved one for dinner. The tranquility coupled with the starry ambience is the perfect setting for a romantic evening. This is certainly one of the most romantic places in Singapore.
Rain drops on the leaves |
Since we are in the middle of monsoons here in Singapore, it was beautiful to see sparkling rain drops on the plants. To me, they resembled crystals that had scattered all around and exuded a subtle shimmering glow. Fascinating indeed!
Red cones and a pink me :)
